Call For Availability Products
Show manually added stores when product availability is unknown.
When we add stores manually and we do not know which of your products each one carries, we create a single catch-all product and associate it with those locations. By default it is named Call For Availability.
The pin appears on your locator, a shopper sees your brand is carried there, and the call to action sends them to the store to check specific stock.
When we use one#
Your store list has no Products column.
The list covers wholesale or independent accounts where the product mix varies store to store and changes often.
A distributor or marketplace export gives you accounts but not per-store SKUs.
If you do know which products each store carries, send them and we will associate the real products instead. See Uploading a Store List.
Setting one up#
We need one thing from you: an image.
Square, highest quality available, at least 750 x 750 px. Most brands use their logo, which reads cleanly at map scale. Any product or brand image works.
We can also rename the product for you. "Call For Availability" is only the default.
Changing the button text#
The default button label on a manually uploaded store is "Call for availability". We can change it to whatever fits your case, for example:
"3 Products In Stock"
"More info"
"Visit store"
Two limits to know:
The label is global, not per store. It applies to every manually uploaded location on your locator. Changing it to "ON DISPLAY ONLY" changes it for all of them, not only your showroom accounts.
The button cannot be removed. It is what opens the detail panel holding store information, phone number, and hours. Without it there is no way into that panel.
Labelling a subset of stores differently#
If you need different wording for some stores but not others, the workaround is a separate product. We duplicate the placeholder with the label written into the product title, for example Product Name (ON DISPLAY ONLY), and associate that version with just those locations.
This is worth doing for a genuinely distinct group, such as display-only or sampling accounts. It is not worth doing for small wording preferences, since each variation is another product to maintain.
Replacing it later#
A Call For Availability product can be a placeholder. Once you can tell us what each store carries, or once a retailer integration starts publishing data for those locations, we swap the placeholder for real products.
Send an updated list with a Products column whenever you have one and we will make the switch. See New Retail Launch for how manual pins hand off to live integration data.

Stores that retailers submit themselves through the self-submission form also default to a Call For Availability state. See Wholesale Self-Submission.
